Hey Jackie! I'm a bit slow to respond, and as I'm reading this realizing we are now connected on FB too! :)

I definitely think you could make a go of your mentoring for quitting smoking using social media. I actually wrote a blog post back in January about that very thing (as I have quit smoking just this past January). Check this out:

I'd be happy to answer questions you might have. You can also follow along on Twitter!

@SocialPMChick.

Have an awesome day!

Hi Wendy,

I like your blog a lot. I'm new to all of this. I'm a public health professional and I help people to quit smoking through evidence-based practice. I'm thinking of starting a new website, quitmentor.com. I'm wondering if social media venues such as Twitter and Facebook are the way to go to generate interest in a site such as mine that is really geared to getting clients who need help quitting. I see you have a lot of experience with helping small businesses. Can you offer any advice or can I email you directly? This is not a sales pitch to get you as a client. I'm really new to all this and am looking for advice from savvy social media professionals.

Thanks,
Jacque
